The Story
Norman grew up on a small farm in Iowa where the family grew corn, oats, and hay.
He studied plants and worked with farmers in places where crops were failing.
He grew a new kind of wheat that made more grain and didn't get sick as easily.
Farmers all over the world planted it, and hungry families finally had enough to eat.
In 1970 he won the Nobel Peace Prize for helping feed the whole world.
