Paul Samuelson

Paul was a curious boy from Indiana who loved puzzles more than anything.

He grew up to see economics — the study of money and choices — as one giant puzzle.

He wrote a friendly textbook that millions of students learned from, all over the world.

He advised presidents and helped make big decisions about the American economy.

In 1970 he became the first American to win the Nobel Prize in Economics.
