Neil Armstrong

Neil loved airplanes so much he got his pilot's license before his driver's license!

He became a test pilot, flying tricky new planes to see what they could do.

Then NASA picked him to travel farther than anyone had gone.

In 1969, his rocket landed softly on the Moon, and he climbed down the ladder.

His footprint is still there, because on the Moon there is no wind to blow it away.
