The Story

Nadia grew up in Romania and started doing cartwheels before she could tie her shoes.

She trained hard, again and again, on the balance beam and the bars.

At the 1976 Olympics, she was only 14 when she flew through her routine.

The scoreboard didn't know what to do — it wasn't built to show a perfect 10!

She got seven perfect scores that summer and the whole world cheered.
