Ada Lovelace

Ada grew up in England and loved math and machines when very few girls were taught them.

She met an inventor building a big brass calculating machine called the Analytical Engine.

Ada looked at it and saw something no one else did — it could do more than sums.

She wrote careful instructions for the machine, the very first computer program.

That was almost 200 years ago — and every app you use started with an idea like hers.
