Jimmy Carter

Jimmy grew up on a peanut farm in Plains, Georgia.

He served in submarines, ran the family farm, then became America's 39th president.

He worked hard to make peace between countries that had been fighting for a long time.

After the White House, he picked up a hammer and built houses for families who needed them.

In 2002 he won the Nobel Peace Prize for a lifetime of peace-making.
