The Story
Jim grew up in Mississippi drawing cartoons and watching puppet shows on TV.
He started making his own puppets out of old coats and Ping-Pong balls.
One green frog named Kermit became a friend to kids everywhere.
He made Sesame Street and The Muppet Show, filling them with silly songs and big feelings.
His puppets taught millions of kids to count, read, and be kind.
