The Story
Crazy Horse was a young Lakota warrior on the plains of South Dakota.
He loved the wide grasslands and the sacred Black Hills where his people had always lived.
When settlers and soldiers came to take that land, he led his people to defend it.
He rode fast and quiet, and became a legendary leader of the Lakota Sioux.
A giant mountain carving in South Dakota still honors him today.
