He didn't like rules that were unfair, but he didn't want to fight with fists.

So he walked — long, quiet marches — and asked everyone to be brave together.

Once he walked 240 miles all the way to the sea just to pick up salt.

In 1947 India became free, and Gandhi's peaceful way became a lesson for the world.
