The Story
Prince grew up in Minneapolis and taught himself to play the piano when he was seven.
By his teens he could play guitar, drums, bass — over twenty instruments in all.
He wrote songs full of joy and rain and dancing, in his very own purple style.
He played every instrument on many of his own records, all by himself.
His songs made stadiums full of people dance for hours.
