Bill loved computers from the time he was thirteen, back when they were as big as refrigerators.

With his friend Paul Allen he started a tiny company called Microsoft.

They wrote the software that made computers easy for regular people to use.

Soon there was a computer in schools, homes, and offices everywhere.

Later he and his family started giving away most of their money to fight sickness around the world.
