The Story
In 1925, a Nashville radio station started a show with fiddles, banjos, and singing.
Families all across the country would gather around their big wooden radios on Saturday nights to listen.
It got the fun name 'The Grand Ole Opry,' and it kept going and going, year after year.
Country singers came from all over to stand on the Opry stage and sing their songs.
Nashville became known as Music City, thanks to that little Saturday night radio show.
